Take-Offs

In order to aid with the laborious task of taking quantities off from drawings, we have two options. One is a digitizer used for paper drawings. This will list quantities off with speed and accuracy and type it straight into the estimating system, it will even calculate the bends present in a run of duct for you.

The other option is cad take-off which is becoming our fastest selling software solution and our personal favourite. Over the past year, the demand for this product has increased massively as more and more people find their drawings being emailed (or sent on disk) to them at tender stage by their clients, usually in the form of PDFs and DWGs. By simply opening the drawing on screen, with this system all you are required to do is to go around the drawing saying what is there, eg clicking taper where you find a taper etc. This replaces the need to plot/print the drawings, scale the drawings, use a scale rule use a marker pen, write down and collate your list and then type it in . these six/seven processes are replaced by just one! This is read into the Estimating package to produce a price almost instantly.
